SALT LAKE CITY — Now that Rory McIlroy has joined Team Nike the possibilities are endless for fun, creative commercials pitting the young up-and-comer with a guy named Tiger Woods.

And Nike's first attempt is a homerun.

The commercial features McIlroy and Tiger on a driving range matching shot for shot.

Tiger, Rory team up, a fairy tale half-court ending and the fumble dance

And we get this priceless exchange:

Tiger: "Oh, somebody wants to play."

Rory: "Just trying to keep up with the old guy, you know?"

Tiger: "Dude, is that your real hair?"

Awe, you can just feel the love.

The rivalry is real folks, even if they are on the same team.

Fairy tale half-court ending

A lucky Atlanta Hawks fan is luckier than any of us imagined.

At halftime during the Jazz-Hawks game and with $1,000 on the line, the Atlanta fan lines up his attempt and throws a one-handed heave towards the rim.

Its got the distance! It's on line! It looks good!

But then the most amazing thing happens. The ball hits the back of the rim and just stops.

It gets pinned between the backboard and the rim and just sticks.

It is unbelievable.

I don't know the odds of that happening, but it's probably a gazillion-to-1.

And with those odds he deserves the $1,000. And yes, they did give it to him.

Fumble Dance

The NFL playoff game between the Patriots and Texans became a little bit of a laugher as New England steamrolled Houston, so maybe you missed it. But Patriots linebacker Brandon Spikes provided a moment of levity when he chose to dance instead of wrestle for a fumble.

Texans TE Daniel Owens caught a pass from Matt Schaub and was immediately tackled by a swarm of Patriots. Owens drops the ball and everyone goes scrambling for the loose ball.

As the dog pile grows, Spikes runs to the scene and instead of diving into the pile, turns so he is facing the camera and begins to dance, celebrating what he things is a Patriots fumble recovery.

Too bad for him the refs ruled Owen's forward progress had stopped before the fumble, meaning the Texans keep the ball.

Still, it was rather entertaining.

Large handsESPN is out with a new "This is SportsCenter" commercial starring Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.

Anchor Steve Levy warns co-worker John Anderson not to look down when Rondo shakes hands.

Why? Rondo apparently has big hands and when Anderson goes in for the shake, he can't help but look down.

Let's just say Anderson likely won't be looking down again.
