(KSL News) -- State leaders are calling on Utahns to say "no way" to high-level nuclear waste storage in Utah. They hope public outcry to the Bureau of Land Management will convince it to deny Private Fuel Storage's request to ship nuclear waste to the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation.
Jason Groenewold, HEAL Utah: "We're down to the eleventh hour, and if folks want to get involved and say we don't want nuclear waste in Utah, now is the time to act."
Sen. Orrin Hatch, (R) Utah: "We need hundreds and thousands of Utahns to write. Now we've only had a few thousand."
