LAKEWOOD, Colo. — A father had to return one gift that was given to his son after the boy found pornographic images on it. He says the gift has traumatized his family.

Mark Giles' five-year-old son found pornographic pictures on the refurbished 3DS, a game device he got for Christmas.

"He handed the 3DS to (his brother) and (he) said, ‘dad I don't think he should be looking at these pictures,' " Giles said. "I lost it. I called just everybody."

It was hard for Giles' two young sons to see pornographic images on their toy, but it was even harder for him — a dad who tried so hard to make Christmas special.

"About nine images of sexual activity were on this toy that he got from Santa, that Santa got from GameStop," Giles said.

GameStop tried to make it right. They told Giles the images were from the previous owner and they weren't caught before the refurbished device was sold. Gamestop said they are currently looking into the situation. For now, the store has given the family an upgraded version of the Nintendo 3DS, along with a bunch of games.

"You can't un-see this he's five-years-old. Maybe when he's 18 or 20, maybe he won't know anything about it, but he's not going to forget about it tomorrow," Giles said.
