TOOELE — A cyclist is dead after being hit by a vehicle Sunday in Tooele

Lt. Adrian Day said that a 20-year-old man was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Pinehurst Avenue and Vine Street when a 70-year-old female driver turned into the intersection and struck him.

The cyclist was transported to a local hospital via ambulance, but died as a result of his injuries en route.

More specific information on the accident was not yet available.
