WOODS CROSS — Police were trying to determine Friday how a truck ended up crashed into a car dealership early that morning.

About 5:40 a.m., police were dispatched to Bountiful Toyota at 2300 South and 500 West on the report of a pickup truck crashing into the dealership.

According to Officer Chris Hoffman with the Woods Cross Police Department, when police arrived, the 27-year-old driver of the Dodge truck was gone, but had left her driver's license in the cab.

Police located the driver about a half mile from the dealership in her apartment. Hoffman said she had walked back to her apartment after the crash, and police transported her to Lakeview Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

As of Friday morning, police were still trying to determine how the truck, which was travelling northbound on Highway 89 before the accident, had crashed into the building.

They had not determined whether or not intoxication was a factor in the accident, or how much damage the crash had caused.
