SALT LAKE CITY — Disney Channel is in the early stages of development on a sequel series to the ‘90s TV series "Boy Meets World," according to reports.
The series will revolve around the daughter of Cory and Topanga, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Ben Savage was Cory and Danielle Fishell was Topanga in the seven-season series, which focused on the lessons Cory learned as he grew up.
There is no word on whether Savage and Fishell would reprise their roles in the series, although Disney Channel is hoping to make it happen, according to the Daily Beast.
The project has been named "Girl Meets World" and is being developed by Michael Jacobs, the original executive producer of "Boy Meets World."
The original show ran during the TGIF block on ABC from 19932000.
