SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A new poll indicates state Rep. Ralph Becker has a big advantage one week before the race for Salt Lake City mayor.
The Salt Lake Tribune poll shows 55 percent of 500 likely voters surveyed favor Becker, a Democrat running to succeed Rocky Anderson. Republican Dave Buhler was well behind with 34 percent.
The poll was conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percentage points. The 500 likely voters were interviewed Monday and Tuesday.
The election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
