SALT LAKE CITY -- Is a Utahn's recipe good enough to win $1 million? Cameron Baailey and Elizabeth Dehart will find out in just 13 days.

The 45th Pillsbury Bake-Off contest will be decided on March 26 as 100 finalists head to Orlando, Fla. to compete in a three-day contest, pitting their culinary skills against one another in the kitchen. Only one will emerge victorious.

Two Utahns are in the running this year, Dehart, from West Jordan, and Bailey, from Salt Lake City. Each has an original recipe that uses at least two Pillsbury products, and a whole lot of originality.

Dehart opted for a more international approach in her vegetarian dish, falafel sandwiches with fire-roasted tomato aioli, using Pillsbury Grands! Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits as the bread.

"America is a melting pot of cultural diversity and my recipe reflects the many cultures and flavors that make it a great place to live and eat," Dehart said on the Bake-Off website.

Bailey opted for a sandwich as well, but relies on the power of bacon on his bacon-chicken sliders with raspberry-onion spread. He uses Pillsbury Place 'n Bake refrigerated crescent rounds as the bread.

Bailey often hosts dinner parties to show of his recipes, and enjoys running in addition to baking.

The contest has been a Pillsbury institution since 1949 and has pitted over 4,000 finalists against one another. The first contest offered only $50,000 in prize money, but this year the winner will take home not only $1 million, but also $10,000 in GE appliances.

Check out the recipes these local contestants offered.
