Greg Neft, KSL Newsradio A Utah task force with a mission to protect children is receiving a big award.

The group giving the award says the agency deserves recognition. "The National Law Center for Children and Families is giving the Child Defenders Award to the Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force," explained Paul Murphy, spokesman for the Utah Attorney General's Office.

Murphy says there's a simple reason why. "For simply being the best at protecting children," he said.

Since its formation, the task force has been very effective. "The Utah ICAC Task Force has been out in front in going to popular Web sites, chat rooms, online," Murphy said.

The award will be presented Friday.
