(KSL News) Salt Lake is one of the first cities in the nation to try to get people to drop bottled water at the same time bottled water has become a booming business.

There is increasing worry that all those bottles create an environmental headache.

Three out of four water bottles are not recycled. And environmentalists say for every pint of bottled water sold, up to three gallons of water are contaminated through making the bottle.

In an effort to become more green, many cities are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to sell people on tap water. Some of the ads promise tap water will be "refreshing," "delicious," even "great on the rocks."
