January 6th, 2006 @ 11:53am

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Two Mormon missionary have been killed in a head-on collision in New Zealand.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints say 20-year-old Bradley J. Isle of Las Vegas, Nevada and 21-year-old Jonathan R. Talmadge of Willamina, Oregon were killed last night on impact.

Church officials say one passenger in the other vehicle was also killed, and two other passengers are in serious condition.

There were no other immediate details available.

The deadly crash happened just days after two LDS missionaries were shot in Virginia. 21-year-old Morgan Young of Bountiful, Utah and 19-year-old Joshua Heidbrink of Greeley, Colorado were shot Monday night in Chesapeake. Young died early Tuesday morning, while Heidbrink was injured and is now recovering at home.
