SALT LAKE CITY -- Salt Lake City's food bank moved into the No. 1 spot to win $1 million in Walmart's Fighting Hunger Together challenge.

A Provo mother of seven has spent several hours in the past few days finding new ways to "like" Salt Lake City in Walmart's Fighting Hunger Together campaign.Ogden has slid into the fourth position. The food bank there is still eligible for a $100,000 prize.
Administrators at the Utah Food Bank say that city has seen a surge of support in online votes. Salt Lake City received more than 3 million votes by 10 p.m. on Thursday night.
It's also been found that a Facebook page called "Fight Hunger Salt Lake City" indicates when you click on a button that says it will take you to a Salt Lake page, but it actually takes you to a Fresno Page.
1. Log on to your Facebook account
2. In the search bar type Feed Utah, Feed Utah's Facebook page should be the first result to show up
3. On the left hand side, click on the "Wall" button with the green icon
4. Feed Utah has posted 100's of links for you to like. Comment as well, but excessive commenting results in a spam warning from Facebook
5. Scroll through Feed Utah's page and like all posted links.

More votes for Salt Lake City and Ogden are needed to ensure each city wins at least $100,000 each. Walmart, GiftCard Bäks and Utah Food Bank are encouraging all Utahns to vote for Salt Lake City and Ogden from a list of 100 communities where hunger rates are the highest. The city with the most support will receive $1 million in grants and the next five cities with the highest support will receive $100,000 each.
Walmart Market Manager Kevin Forsgren explains all the ways to vote:
"After you click on ‘Like,' post a comment," he said. "When you post a comment that will also count as a vote."
Votes are also counted when you interact with other people's posts.
"You can go to other people's Facebook pages that have posted a comment, ‘like' their comment, and that also counts as a vote," Forsgren said. "Just keep doing that to add up the votes."
