Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney Appears on "60 Minutes"
May 13th, 2007 @ 10:11pm

(KSL News) The presidential candidates are showing up regularly on various network talk shows. Tonight, "60 Minutes" did an extended profile on GOP candidate Mitt Romney.

He was quizzed on everything from his religion to his wife's MS to the war in Iraq. He was also asked about his so-called flip-flops on a number of issues and his pledge not to raise taxes.

Sixty Minutes' Mike Wallace said to Romney in the interview, "Your critics say that you're the poster child for chameleon politics, that you lack core beliefs, that you'll do anything to get elected--what about that?"

To which Romney replied, "You know if you look at anybody who's a political statesman, they'd better learn how to change their mind when they realize they're wrong."

Romney says his campaign strategy is to win in the early contests in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina. He says win those, and that propels him to the GOP nomination.
