EAGLE MOUNTAIN -- A quick-moving rain storm caused major problems in Utah County Saturday evening.

In an Eagle Mountain neighborhood, the large amount of rain pushed mud and rocks down into one family's yard. Their backyard was turned into a mud pit and their basement was flooded.

"I haven't seen it rain like this since I can remember," said homeowner Dave Peters. "I started to see a hole form right in the back by the window well. The water started going down, and then the whole thing collapsed and it just started going in my basement, filled up my window wells."

Their neighbors rallied around Peters to help clean up. In all, they say more than a dozen homes were flooded.

Rain also pounded parts of Saratoga Springs Saturday afternoon. Doppler radar estimated the city got over an inch of rainfall.
