TAYLORSVILLE -- Taylorsville police have identified a suspect in last week's fatal hit-and-run.

Gloria Campos-Campos, 31, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving death and obstructing justice.

Taylorsville police Lt. Rosie Rivera says, "She had been identified by several people that live in the trailer court. They had purchased some items from her previously, and they're the ones that helped us get a description of the van."

Police located the abandoned van earlier this week.

A $25,000 warrant has been issued for her arrest. Police say her last known address is in Millcreek; however, she may have fled the area and is possibly in California.

The toddler, Vicsayra Maribel Garcia, died July 23 after she was hit by a white minivan while standing on the curb outside her Majestic Oaks home near 800 West and 4600 South around 7:30 p.m.

If anyone knows of her whereabouts they are encouraged to call police at 801-743-7000.
