PLEASANT VIEW -- The Utah Highway Patrol has arrested a man accused in a bizarre road rage incident involving a bread truck.

It happened Monday night on Interstate 15 near Pleasant View. Brandon Olsen claims he was with his family headed northbound in a Mazda 6 when the truck, driven by 24-year-old Jason English, pulled up on their tail. The family gestured for him to slow down

"The Hostess truck driver kind of raced up and started tailgating us," Olsen told KSL Newsradio on Wednesday. "I turned around and kind of motioned for him to slow down. He threw his arms up, kind of calling me on, and motioned for us to get out of the way. I motioned that I can't, we're pinned in here."

Olsen said as it escalated, he pointed at his 3-year-old son in the back seat, motioning for the truck to get back.

"He just flipped me off. So, I flipped him off back and he pulled up a pistol," Olsen said. "I seen his mouth kind of, 'Now what?' and pointed the gun at us and kind of rocked like a shooting motion."

Olsen said he then called 911.

The Utah Highway Patrol caught up with English near Brigham City and questioned him.

"The driver admitted to having a weapon in the vehicle. It was a BB gun pistol," UHP trooper Cameron Roden said. "But he denied brandishing the weapon."

Still, Roden said, the witnesses provided an accurate enough description of the weapon that authorities arrested English on suspicion of threats with a weapon and traffic violations.
