MOSCOW (AP) — Greek triple jumper Hrysopiyi Devetzi is set to lose her bronze medal from the 2008 Olympics after failing a drug test.

The IAAF says a sample Devetzi gave at the 2007 world championships tested positive in retesting for the banned steroid stanozolol and she will be retrospectively disqualified for two years from August 2007.

She stands to lose her bronze medals from the 2007 world championships and 2008 Olympics, but her 2004 Olympic silver is not affected.

Devetzi was also handed a four-year ban from competition, which will have no effect since she retired in 2009 following a different ban for refusing to give a drug-test sample.

The IAAF also announced bans for Russian distance runners Ildar Minshin and Irina Timofeeva, neither of whom has won medals at major championships.
