SPITTAL AN DER DRAU, Austria (AP) — Olympic super-G champion Anna Veith has returned to skiing for the first time since a knee injury forced her to miss last season.

Competing under her maiden name Fenninger until she was married in April, the two-time overall World Cup champion from Austria posted on Facebook a video of her skiing on the Moelltaler glacier.

Veith says on Friday, "After too many days without skiing I'm back on snow and it's so awesome! I just love to ski again. I know it is still far from racing and it is quite a long way to go."

A winner of eight medals at Olympics and world championships, Veith tore ligaments in a fall during practice in October, three days before the Alpine skiing circuit started.
