BOWLING GREEN, Fla. (AP) — Hailee Cooper and Kaitlyn Papp won the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship on Wednesday at Streamsong Resort, outlasting 13-year-olds Angelina Kim and Brianna Navarrosa with a par on the first extra hole.

"I still can't believe it," Cooper said. "On the 19th green, it was kind of a realization like, 'Wow, we just did it after all these holes we just played and after a tough match.'"

The 16-year-old Cooper is from Montgomery, Texas, and the 17-year-old Papp is from Austin, Texas. On the extra hole, Papp made a 4-foot par putt on the par-4 first, and Kim, from Los Angeles, and Navarrosa, from San Diego, each three-putted for bogeys.

"It's crazy to have my name as a USGA champion along with Tiger Woods and so many other great players," said Papp, the 2015 AJGA Girls Championship winner. "It's just unbelievable.

Headed to the University of Texas next year, Papp became the second Lake Travis High player to win a USGA championship in the past two years, following 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur champion Kristen Gillman.

"(Kristen) and I are really good friends and I know she was pulling for us the whole way," Papp said. "And then (2015 U.S. Women's Amateur champion and 2015 Women's Amateur Four-Ball runner-up) Hannah O'Sullivan texted us after our match, congratulating us in becoming USGA champs, so that was really cool."

Kim and Navarrosa rallied to tie the match, winning the par-4 11th with a par and the par-5 14th with a birdie.

"We gave it a good run," Navarrosa said. "I'll say that. It's actually ... our first time (in a USGA championship) and we made it really past our goal. I'm happy. I'm fine."

Cooper and Papp won the par-4 first and par-5 second holes, Kim and Navarrosa took the par-4 sixth on Kim's eagle, and Cooper and Papp restored their two-hole lead with a birdie on the par-4 eighth.

In the morning semifinals, Cooper and Papp beat Alexandra Austin and 2015 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur champion Lauren Greenlief 4 and 3, and Kim and Navarrosa topped Pauline Del Rosario and 2014 U.S. Girls' Junior champion Princess Mary Superal 3 and 2.
