VIRGINIA WATER, England (AP) — Miguel Angel Jimenez hit a record 10th hole-in-one on the European Tour during his third round at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth on Saturday.

The Spaniard surpassed Colin Montgomerie's tally of nine when he holed his tee shot from 148 yards at the par-3 No. 2 at the European Tour's flagship event.

It is his third ace this season and his second in consecutive tournaments, after the par-3 eighth in his second round at the Spanish Open.

The 51-year-old Jimenez also became the first player to have two holes-in-one at the BMW PGA Championship.

His first came at the fifth hole in the final round in 2008 when he went on to win the tournament.
