TURIN, Italy (AP) — Juventus says it has signed Brazil wing back Dani Alves from Barcelona on a two-year contract.

Barcelona said earlier this month that the 33-year-old defender had made a "personal decision" to leave after eight years.

Italian champion Juventus says it also has the option to extend Alves's contract for a third year.

Alves won 23 titles with Barcelona after moving from Sevilla in 2008.
