LONDON (AP) — Neymar replaced Luis Suarez as the player of the week in The Associated Press Global Football 10, while Barcelona remained atop the team standings on Tuesday.

Neymar scored two goals in Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Real Sociedad on Saturday. Suarez drops to second despite scoring once against Sociedad and twice in the 6-1 rout of Roma in the Champions League last Tuesday.

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy is third after scoring in a record 11th straight Premier League match in his side's 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

"Jamie Vardy's record for goals in consecutive Premier League matches means he should get taken more seriously when it comes to the best performers at the moment," Mike McGrath of The Sun in England said.

Gonzalo Higuain is fourth after scoring twice to lead Napoli to a 2-1 win against Inter Milan. The victory moved Napoli to the top of Serie A at the expense of Inter.

Lionel Messi returned to Barcelona's starting lineup last Wednesday and scored twice against Roma, before notching the fourth goal in the win against Sociedad. He enters the poll in fifth.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Aritz Aduriz, Thomas Mueller, Antoine Griezmann and Mario Mandzukic round out the top 10 players of the week.

In the team vote, Barcelona's two emphatic victories keep it at the top for the second week in a row.

"We're fast running out of superlatives to describe Barcelona, who scored 10 goals in a bumper week in the Champions League and La Liga. Who can stop them?" Marco Monteverde of News Corp. Australia said.

Napoli is runner-up after its victory over Inter in Italy. Bayern Munich is third after beating Olympiakos 4-0 in the Champions League and Hertha Berlin 2-0 to stay eight points clear at the top of the German Bundesliga.

Juventus is fourth, after a week where it beat Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League to qualify for the knockout stages, and followed it by winning 3-0 away to Palermo in Serie A.

Paris Saint-Germain was fifth after thrashing Malmo 5-0 in the Champions League and Troyes 4-1 in the French league.

Borussia Dortmund, Leicester, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Manchester City complete the top 10 teams of the week.
