LONDON (AP) — Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace routed his former club Newcastle 5-1 in the Premier League despite going an early goal down Saturday to increase the pressure on manager Steve McClaren after another abject display by the visitors.

Papiss Cisse put Newcastle in the 10th minute but the visitors collapsed defensively to go 3-1 down by halftime, with James McArthur, Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha scoring. Bolasie and McArthur both added a second goal in the second half as Newcastle offered little resistance.

Pardew left Newcastle for Palace in January and the two clubs have moved in opposite directions ever since. Palace is sixth in the standings while Newcastle is 19th with McClaren already under growing scrutiny following a 3-0 loss to Leicester last weekend.
