NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators have signed restricted free-agent defenseman Petter Granberg to a two-year contract.

Granberg's deal will be worth $575,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 at the American Hockey League level in 2016-17. His contract will be worth $650,000 in 2017-18.

The Predators announced the signing Tuesday.

Granberg, 23, had two assists and 13 penalty minutes in 27 games with the Predators this past season. The Predators claimed him off waivers on Nov. 22.

Granberg, who is 6-foot-3 and 201 pounds, has appeared in 35 career NHL games with Nashville and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
