Blues name DiMaio director of player personnel

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Blues have promoted Rob DiMaio to director of player personnel.

The 47-year-old DiMaio had been director of scouting for three years. He joined the Blues as a scout in 2008.

DiMaio also had 277 points in 894 games during his playing career with the Islanders, Rangers, Lightning, Flyers, Bruins, Hurricanes and Stars.

The Blues open the season Thursday against Edmonton.
