CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love will miss his first game of the season because of a bruised left thigh.

Cleveland hosts New Orleans on Saturday night. Love is averaging 15.9 points and 10.5 rebounds.

Love was injured while boxing out for a rebound in the third quarter of Friday's loss to Boston and didn't return. He was on the floor for several moments before being helped to the locker room.

Love said after the game he had a "dead leg" for about 10 minutes and hoped to play Saturday. He started in Cleveland's first 49 games.

Timofey Mozgov will start at center while Tristan Thompson will move to power forward against the Pelicans.
