PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Memphis guard Mike Conley left Saturday night's Game 3 of the opening-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers with a facial injury.

Conley, who had 14 points, went down on the court after he appeared to be caught by Portland guard CJ McCollum's elbow while going after a loose ball.

Conley stayed on his hands and knees for several moments before heading to the locker room with a towel to his face.

The Grizzlies said he was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. No other details were immediately available.

Conley later posted to Twitter: "Proud of my guys for stepping up! Huge win tonight. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I will be fine!"

Conley, in his eighth NBA season, was averaging 17 points and 3.5 rebounds in the opening two games of the playoff series against the Blazers. The Grizzlies won Saturday night's game 115-109 to take a 3-0 lead in the series.

Conley averaged 15.8 points and 5.4 assists in the regular season.

The Grizzlies were also playing without reserve guard Beno Udrih, who was a late scratch with a sprained right ankle.
