MIAMI (AP) — The Miami Heat ended their three-game losing streak, clinched an NBA playoff berth and pulled within one game of the Eastern Conference-leading Indiana Pacers. Dwyane (dwayn) Wade scored 13 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Heat rallied late to beat Washington 99-90. LeBron James led all scorers with 23 points and Chris Bosh added 22 to help the Heat avoid their first four-game losing streak since 2011.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Blake Griffin scored 37 points and Darren Collison added 20 in the Los Angeles Clippers' 112-105 win against Phoenix. Griffin was 14 of 16 from the field and 9 of 10 from the line as the Clippers picked up their eighth straight win and stretched their lead in the Pacific Division to 4 ½ games over Golden State.

DALLAS (AP) — Monday's NHL game between the Dallas Stars and the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets was called off in the first period after Stars forward Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench. Dr. Gil Salazar said Peverley was successfully treated for a cardiac event, and the NHL issued a statement saying Peverley was in stable condition and doing well. Peverley missed the start of the season because of a procedure to correct an irregular heartbeat, a condition diagnosed during a training camp physical.

UNDATED (AP) — Chris Kunitz (KOO'-nihts) had scored twice and Sidney Crosby collected three points as the Pittsburgh Penguins downed Washington 3-2. Crosby leads the NHL with 87 points after helping the Pens reclaim the NHL's Eastern Conference lead, one point ahead of Boston. Anaheim remains one point behind West-leading St. Louis after Phil Kessel (KEHS'-ul) provided a goal and two assists in Toronto's 3-1 win over the Ducks.

UNDATED (AP) — Three more teams have received automatic berths in the NCAA men's basketball tournament by winning their conference title games on Monday. Delaware earned a 75-74 win over William and Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association title game, Manhattan held off rival Iona 71-68 for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference title and Wofford was a 56-53 winner over Western Carolina for the Southern Conference crown.
