UNDATED (AP) — The Philadelphia Eagles are doing just fine with their rookie quarterback, although it didn't hurt to receive an outstanding defensive showing against Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH'-lihs-bur-gur).

The Eagles are 3-0 after Carson Wentz completed 23 of his 31 passes for 301 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-3 pounding of Pittsburgh. The second player taken in this year's draft hit Darren Sproles for a 73-yard catch-and-run and found Jordan Matthews for a 12-yard score.

Wentz has completed 66 of his 102 passes for 769 yards, five TDs and no interceptions so far.

Sproles finished with six catches for 128 yards. Kenjon Barner and rookie Wendell Smallwood each had their first career rushing TDs.

The Eagles shut down a Steelers offense that averaged 31 points in opening the season 2-0. Roethlisberger had 257 yards passing, one interception and no TDs after throwing for six touchdowns in the first two games.

Also in Week 3 of the NFL schedule:

— The Seahawks beat the 49ers 37-18 but finished the game without Russell Wilson due to a knee injury. He was hurt on a horse collar tackle by Eli Harold early in the second half. Wilson passed for 243 yards and a touchdown for the 2-1 Seahawks, while Doug Baldwin had eight receptions for a career-high 164 yards and a score. Backup QB Trevone Boykin tossed his first NFL scoring strike as Seattle dropped the Niners to 1-2.

— Playing without the injured Adrian Peterson the Vikings remained unbeaten with a 22-10 win over the Panthers in Charlotte. Sam Bradford had another good outing for Minnesota as he completed 18 of 28 passes for 171 yards and a score. The victory snapped a 14-game home winning streak for Carolina. The Minnesota defense came through big-time, sacking Cam Newton eight times. With Peterson injured, Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon combined for 70 yards rushing on 22 carries.

— The Broncos are unbeaten in three games as Trevor Siemian threw a career-high four touchdown passes in his first road start in Denver's 29-17 win over the Bengals. He rallied the Broncos with a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes and finished 23 of 35 for 312 yards and a passer rating of 132.1.

— Aaron Rodgers picked apart the Detroit defense with four touchdown passes, two to Jordy Nelson in the first half of the Packers' 34-27 win. Rodgers passed for 205 yards on 15 completions, while Nelson had 101 yards receiving on six catches. Green Bay is now 2-1, while the Lions are 1-2. Marvin Jones of Detroit had a career high 205 yards on six receptions, including a touchdown.

— The New York Jets were a turnover machine in a 24-3 loss at Kansas City. Of the Jets' eight turnovers, two were returned for touchdowns and three came on passes in the end zone. Marcus Peters had two of the picks for the 2-1 Chiefs, including the first of four off quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick in the fourth quarter. Kansas City quarterback Alex Smith was 25 of 33 for 237 yards and a touchdown against the 1-2 Jets.

— Baltimore's Justin Tucker kicked a 54-yard field goal with 1:02 remaining and the Ravens edged the Jaguars 19-17. The three-pointer was his fourth of the game and improved the Ravens to 3-0 for the third time in franchise history. Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco (FLAK'-oh) had a good outing as he connected on 21 straight passes at one point. Jags coach Gus Bradley is now a paltry 12-39 in four seasons on the job, the second-worst winning percentage of any NFL coach with at least 50 games.

— Washington avoided an 0-3 start by beating the Giants 29-27 on Dustin Hopkins' fifth field goal of the game, a 37-yarder with 1:51 remaining. Washington trailed 21-9 in the first half before sending New York to its first loss of the season. Quarterback Kirk Cousins led Washington's attack with touchdown passes to DeSean Jackson and Jamison Crowder. Eli Manning threw for 358 yards and a touchdown, but was picked off on the Giants' final series. New York had three turnovers for the second straight week, leaving them minus-6 for the season.

— In Nashville the Raiders got the better of the Titans in a 17-10 win. Oakland quarterback Derek Carr threw for 249 yards and a touchdown in the victory, which gave the Raiders a mark of 2-1. The loss dropped Tennessee to 1-2. It looked like the game might go to overtime when Marcus Mariota (mar-ee-OH'-tah) found Andre Johnson alone in the end zone for a touchdown, but officials flagged Johnson for interference on Raiders cornerback TJ Carrie.

— LeSean McCoy scored twice and the Buffalo defense came up big in a 33-18 win over visiting Arizona. The loss snapped a five-game road winning streak for the Cardinals. McCoy scored on 24- and 5-yard runs and finished with 110 yards rushing. Safety Aaron Williams helped the cause by returning a botched field-goal snap 53 yards for a touchdown. The defense really came on by limiting Arizona to 348 yards of offense and picking off four Carson Palmer passes.

— Jay Ajayi scored on an 11-yard run with 8:26 left in overtime as Miami got the better of the visiting Browns 30-24. Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 319 yards and three scores against the Cleveland defense. Recently hired kicker Cody Parkey of the Browns missed three field goal attempts, including a 46-yarder as time expired in regulation. For the third time in as many weeks the Browns started a different quarterback. This time it was Cody Kessler who filled in for the injured Josh McCown who last week filled in for the injured Robert Griffin III.

— T.Y. Hilton broke a tackle on a 63-yard touchdown pass with 1:17 left to give Indianapolis its first win of the season, 26-22 against the Chargers. Andrew Luck shook off a sore throwing shoulder and completed 24 of 37 passes for 331 yards, one TD and one interception in his 15th career comeback victory. Luck also lost a fumble that was returned 61 for a tying touchdown late in the first half. Philip Rivers was 25 of 38 for 310 yards for the 1-2 Chargers, who fumbled on their last two possessions.

— Case Keenum threw for two touchdowns and Todd Gurley ran for two others as the Rams beat the Buccaneers 37-32 at Tampa. Keenum was 14 of 25 for 190 yards, including the first pssing touchdown since the Rams moved back to Los Angeles. Ethan Westbrooks brought back a fumble 77 yards for a touchdown, and Tavon Austin grabbed a 43-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter before the game was delayed 69 minutes by thunder and lightning with two minutes remaining. Jameis (JAY'-mihs) Winston threw for 405 yards and three TDs for Tampa Bay.
