SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Running back Frank Gore is active for the San Francisco 49ers against the San Diego Chargers on Saturday night after sustaining a concussion last Sunday at Seattle.

Gore could be playing his final two games in a San Francisco uniform as he approaches free agency. Rookie backup running back Carlos Hyde is out with an ankle injury also injured against the Seahawks, who eliminated the 49ers (7-7) from playoff contention last weekend. Linebacker Ahmad Brooks is sidelined by a thumb injury.

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers, who dealt with chest and back injuries this week and sat out Wednesday's practice, is without wide receiver Keenan Allen as San Diego tries to keep its playoff hopes alive. One of Rivers' top targets, Allen went on injured reserve Tuesday with a broken right collarbone.

Also inactive for the Chargers is running back Ryan Mathews, who hasn't practiced since suffering an ankle injury in a 23-14 loss to New England on Dec. 7.
