FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Defensive end Chandler Jones, who leads New England with 4 1/2 sacks, will not play this weekend against the Chicago Bears.

The Patriots listed Jones as out for Sunday's game with a hip injury. He is expected to be sidelined for about a month.

Jones, a third-year pro from Syracuse, had six sacks in 14 games as a rookie and 11 1/2 sacks while starting all 16 games last season.

Seven players were listed as questionable for Sunday's game, including running back Shane Vereen, who missed Friday's practice with an illness. Two offensive linemen who had concussions also were questionable — center Bryan Stork, who missed the last two games, and guard Dan Connolly, who sat out one.
