KEMMERER, WYOMING -- Wyoming officials announced murder charges in the death of a Utah man, believed to have been kidnapped and taken across state lines against his will.
Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson and County Attorney Spencer Allred revealed the charges in a news conference Tuesday, naming Flint and DJ Harrison in the murder of Kay Ricks.
The Harrisons are accused of kidnapping Ricks in his own Utah Transit Authority truck, then taking him to Wyoming, where he was beaten to death.
Wyoming authorities intend to allow a pending kidnapping case against the Harrisons to play out in Utah, after which they hope to have them brought to Wyoming to face the murder and kidnapping charges there.
