CHICAGO (AP) — The new-look Cleveland Cavaliers are 1-1 with LeBron James and Kevin Love in the starting lineup. James scored 36 points, including eight in overtime, while Love added 16 points and 16 rebounds as the Cavs beat the Chicago Bulls 114-108 in OT.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Matt Kenseth took the pole for Sunday's Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. Kenseth topped the eight drivers eligible for the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship with a final-round lap of 199.299 miles per hour.

CHICAGO (AP)— The up-and-coming Chicago Cubs will have a new manager for 2015. Joe Maddon, who recently opted out of the final year of his contract in Tampa Bay, was named new skipper of the Cubs and will be formally introduced Monday.

PARIS (AP) — Milos Raonic perfectly timed his first win over Roger Federer. The seventh-seeded Raonic, who had never beaten the 17-Grand Slam champion in six previous meetings, hit 21 aces and lost only 15 points on his serve to complete a 7-6 (5), 7-5 win to reach the semifinals of the Paris Masters.

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Untapable polished off an impressive year with a 1 1/4-length victory in the Breeders' Cup Distaff, making Rosie Napravnik (nah-PRAHV'-nik) the first female jockey to win the $2 million race in its 31-year history. Napravnik then stunned the crowd at Santa Anita and a national television audience by announcing she will retire Sunday.
