A Nashville judge dismissed pop star Taylor Swift as a potential juror in an aggravated rape and kidnapping case on Monday, Davidson County District Attorney General's Office spokesman Ken Whitehouse said.
The modestly budgeted horror movie "Don't Breathe" scared off competitors at the box office this weekend, taking first place with $26.4 million in its first days in theaters. Directed by Fede Alvarez, "Don't Breathe" cost only around $10 million to produce.
