SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A guitarist in Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Leon Russell's band says San Antonio police are investigating the theft of about $4,000 worth of instruments from the group's tour bus.

The show went on Sunday night for Russell, recognizable by his long white hair and beard, and his band at the Aztec Theatre. Guitarist Beau Charron tells The Associated Press he played with borrowed instruments.

Charron says the theft occurred early Sunday as the band slept on the bus, which was parked in front of the theater.

He says a security camera shows a man with graying hair wearing a Spurs jersey picking a lock to the cargo doors.

Charron reports he lost a mandolin and three electric guitars, including a favorite Stratocaster.

Police didn't return messages Monday.
