NEW YORK (AP) — A vandal has splashed a red substance on a wall inside New York City's Whitney Museum of American Art.
The New York Times reports (http://nyti.ms/1pNheOR ) that the man splashed the substance on a blank wall Wednesday.
The museum said the man was quickly apprehended by security. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The museum's third floor was temporarily closed but reopened within two hours.
The gallery currently houses a Jeff Koons retrospective. No art was damaged.
