Kevin Martin's New Collection of Inspirational Poetry, 'Joshua 1:9,'
Asks Readers to Trade Fear for Bravery
PEMBERVILLE, Ohio, March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aspiring writer and
poet Kevin C. Martin has released his first collection of poems
entitled Joshua 1:9. Released independently, the collection includes
twenty-one poems on faith, hope, and love with special emphasis on the
struggle between fear and bravery. Written over the past year while
enduring difficult life circumstances, Kevin found inspiration in the
day-to-day experiences he faced as he works to follow his dreams.

"Joshua 1:9 is all about letting go of fear, allowing God to take the
lead, and simply saying 'yes' to being brave," Kevin writes about his
collection. He continues, "The title Joshua 1:9 is named after the
Bible verse which reads, 'Remember that I have commanded you to be
determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the
LORD your God, am with you wherever you go.' Throughout my entire
life, I have been so afraid of following the dreams and passions God
has given me. I have been so afraid to be myself, to be my true self,
yet we are called and commanded to be brave. During all of my
experiences and especially over the past year, I have allowed fear to
control me. I have let go of my bravery in order to sit back and let
fear take over. I am afraid of everything. I am afraid of my future,
my dreams, my goals. I am afraid of myself. Joshua 1:9 is the first
step of faith to becoming brave, the brave that God has called us to
be. We are created to be brave. We must be brave."
Joshua 1:9 is now available for digital download at
www.kevincmartin.org. Half of all proceeds raised by the poetry
collection and all items for sale at Kevin's website will be donated
to help less fortunate populations in urban areas throughout the
United States including Toledo, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York City, and
Washington, D.C. Kevin would like thank his family, friends, and each
and every single individual who has supported his artistic endeavors
for inspiring him and for enabling all to follow their dreams.
