NEW YORK (AP) - The current Broadway revival of "The Glass Menagerie" starring Zachary Quinto and Cherry Jones has found itself in the black.
Producers said Tuesday that the Tennessee Williams play has recouped its $2.6 million investment. The play started performances on Sept. 5 and will close Feb. 23.
Critics have universally praised the actors _ Quinto, who plays Spock in the "Star Trek" reboots and Jones, the two-time Tony Award winner for "Doubt" and "The Heiress" _ and director John Tiffany.
The play centers on an aging Southern belle who hopes her son can fulfill her dreams of finding the perfect "gentleman caller" for her shy and damaged daughter.
The play is the latest show to recoup, joining "Pippin," "Lucky Guy" and "Kinky Boots."
