(AP) - The charges that Teresa Giudice of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" and her husband failed to file tax returns and tried to hide their income are hardly the first time people in reality TV have made appearances in criminal reports. Here are some other prominent cases:

_Richard Hatch, the first winner of "Survivor," was sentenced to more than four years in prison for tax evasion charges tied to his $1 million winnings.

_After the 2000 Fox reality show "Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire," it was revealed that an ex-girlfriend had accused the millionaire Rick Rockwell of assaulting her. His marriage with show contestant Darva Konger was annulled.

_Rap artist and "Flavor of Love" star Flavor Flav was jailed in 2012 after arguing with his fiancee and threatening to attack her teenage son with a knife.

_Former NFL star Chad Johnson, who looked for love on "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch," pleaded no contest to battery earlier this year in an altercation with Evelyn Lozada of "Basketball Wives." He was jailed for a week for violating probation.

_Renee Alway, a former "America's Next Top Model" contestant, was arrested in June after a six-hour standoff with police in Palm Springs, Calif.

_Former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman was charged with the murder of his wife, whose body was found at a resort in Cancun, Mexico in April 2010 following a family vacation.

_Ashley "A.J." Jewell, the former fiance of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss, was killed in a 2009 fight at an Atlanta strip club. Jewell had appeared in several episodes of the show.

_Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a real estate investor from Calgary and contestant on VH1's "Megan Wants a Millionaire," was found dead of a suicide. Jenkins had been charged with the murder of his ex-wife.

_Nicole Richie pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and was sentenced to four days in jail in 2007. Richie had co-starred with Paris Hilton in the show "The Simple Life" and has an AOL series, "Candidly Nicole."

_Amber Portwood, an Indiana woman featured on MTV's "Teen Mom," was sentenced to prison in 2012 after opting out of a drug treatment program that she had entered to avoid jail time on charges of possession of a controlled substance and violating probation. Fellow "Teen Mom" Jenelle Evans was arrested on drug charges in North Carolina earlier this year.

_William "Billy" Bretherton, star of the A&E show "Billy the Exterminator," was arrested on drug possession charges last year.

_"Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi pleaded guilty to disturbing beachgoers in 2010 and co-star Deena Cortese pleaded guilty to failing to use the sidewalk last year. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was charged with assault after punching another man on the show. He entered a pre-trial intervention program that let him avoid criminal prosecution.
