NEW YORK (AP) - Bryce Pinkham has nobly decided to join "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" on Broadway.

Producers said Monday that Pinkham will star opposite Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays when the musical begins performances on Oct. 22 at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

It's set in Britain during the Edwardian era and follows a wanna-be duke who is ninth in line to inherit the title. He comically eliminates the eight other heirs _ all played by Mays.

Pinkham is currently in the Shakespeare in the Park production of "Love's Labor's Lost." His Broadway credits include "Ghost" and "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson."

The show, based on the novel "Israel Rank" by Roy Horniman, has music by Steven Lutvak, lyrics by Lutvak and Robert L. Freedman, and a book by Freedman.
