NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — There's a new streaming TV service in town.

Sling TV on Monday launched a service that allows subscribers to watch cable channels live and on-demand on their smartphones, tablets and even television sets.

It's a service aimed at people who want to watch basic cable channels on multiple devices without having to go through a cable company.

For $20 a month, subscribers get a package of fourteen channels, including ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network, ABC Family, Disney Channel, CNN, El Rey and Galavision.

  • Sports fans have the option of paying an additional $5 per month to see live basketball, baseball, football and some soccer games. Customers can also pay $5 a month to get additional kids and news channels.

    The Sling TV app is currently available on Roku players and Roku TVs; iOS and Android devices; as well as Mac and PC computers.

    Soon, it will be available on Amazon Fire TV, Google's Nexus Player, Xbox One and smart TVs from LG and Samsung.

    Sling TV, a subsidiary of Dish Networks, was first announced at the Consumer Electronics Show last month.
