A husband and wife team created a new way to use diapers to monitor your babies' health. These smartphone-connected diapers analyze urine to determine if any there are abnormalities with hydration, or the presence of a urinary tract infection. An alert is sent when the smart-diapers detect problems.
Do you remember that scene in Aliens when Sigourney Weaver jumps into the power-loader robot-suit to defeat the alien? Well, for $125,000, you too can have your own gundam. Created by Sagawa Electronics in Japan, the MK3 Exo-skeleton promises to robotically enhance every life.
3D-printing is making big strides, and while it may not be the future of manufacturing quite yet, researchers at North Carolina State have brought 3D-printing one step closer. They've replaced the plastic, which is commonly used in printing, with liquid metal. It looks like the villain from Terminator 2. Researchers are still perfecting the costly process, but hopefully we'll see printed metals soon.
