If you are a parent, you likely have seen an article from the New York Times magazine pop up in your Facebook feed. Titled "Drowned in a Stream of Presrciptions" it details the risks of possible overprescription of medications to treat ADHD and other attention disorders -- and the addictive nature of the drugs in question. It also questions if kids really need to be on these medications. It's a scary article, and so we wanted to get some perspective. Dr. Sam Goldstein is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Attention Disorders and joined us now to talk about it.
