Sheriff to fine, cite trespassers on Dump Fire burn scar

Police in Utah County are imposing hefty fines and citations to keep people off of the burn scars from the Dump Fire.
Almost 500,000 acres burned in 2012
This past summer, wildfires burned nearly 500,000 acres in Utah. Thousands of Utahns were evacuated from their homes, some of which burned.

Crews were successfully able to contain a more than 380-acre wildfire that scorched shrub and grasslands on Dutchman Ridge in the Lake Mountain area in Utah County.
