BACKANDFORTHVILLE — Imagine you’re young, free and out with your chums to paint London town red.

You arrive at the Chancery Lane tube station to wait for your train — and wait 1-15 minutes you will — but how will you wait? Do you shuffle your feet and grunt out small talk? Will each member of your party pull out their smartphones, basking in the glow of their screens? Or will you engage in a competitive game of fake pingpong?

With an audience of friends and a few bystanders, two men decided to make their wait a little more creative. The fake pingpong match starts off with each man using mouth clicks to make fairly decent pingpong ball sound effects back and forth, sounds made all the more convincing by the acoustics found in virtually all tube stations.

While the sound effects are varied and impressive, the play really gets fun when the men start acting out the game. The match quickly turns into a creative competition over a wide swath of the platform as each man tries to outdo the other’s fake trick shots.

It’s entertaining if not silly fun that only gets better as the video plays.
