SPANISH FORK — A Utah County teenager who got international attention for creating a popular game app has released a sequel to "Bubble Ball."
Robert Nay, 16, developed and released "Bubble Ball" for fun when he was just 14 years old. This time around, Thanksgiving Point hired Nay to create the game's sequel as they try to raise funds and support for the Museum of Natural Curiosity.
The high school sophomore worked after school for two months to program 30 new levels for "Bubble Ball: Curiosity."
"Bubble Ball" is a physics-based, fun but hard game for the iPhone and Android.
He created the game in 2011 over the course of a month using code he taught himself. The game development came after a friend suggested he take a stab at writing the code for a mobile application.
The 14-year-old boy's game quickly rose to the No. 1 spot on the Apple iTunes store, knocking "Angry Birds" from its reigning position.
Nay has been coding for some time; he created his first website in the third-grade.
