CLARK, NJ — Exactly like a scene from a movie, a man proposed to his girlfriend in a mock living room from the Pixar movie "Up."
Joe Perri, of New Jersey, took notes from his girlfriend's favorite movie, "Up," to propose, and it paid off. Saturday, Perri and Laura Stagliano became engaged in a re-creation of the Fredricksen's living room.
Perri scoured through flea markets, garage sales, antique and department stores to find the wingback and mid-century chairs, tiffany glass lamp, tables and other details he set up in an outdoor location, he told the Huffington Post.
"I could not have asked for a better day and moment for the most amazing woman in my life," Perri said.
Perri's living room setup is just one of many creative proposals that have circulated online. Several people have used social media to help them pop the question, some have climbed mountains and a TV news anchor was proposed to in the middle of "breaking news."
