ZURICH, Switzerland — Babysitting can be an overwhelming experience at times, but a Switzerland couple lightened the experience by Photoshopping some pictures with the baby.
Erica and Hannes (last name withheld) were asked to baby-sit their friend’s 6-month-old baby, Alex, according to Buzzfeed. Their friend, Andre, and his partner, Nati, gave specific and detailed instructions for how to care for the baby. Erica and Hannes told Buzzfeed they were nervous, but they decided to have fun with the experience.
“It was our first time to look after him for a full day and night,” Hannes told Buzzfeed.
Hannes told KSL.com that he works as a creative director in ad agency, FS Parker, and Erica designs editorial magazines for EF. The couple decided to Photoshop their experiences to send as hourly updates to Andre while he was attending a wedding.
"Doing these pictures in photoshop only took about 10 minutes each, since we use that program on a daily basis," Hannes told KSL.com. "It's really much easier than it looks. The only thing that needs to be there is an idea of what could be around the baby, but the environments we were in gave us a lot of hints."
Hannes told KSL.com that Nati and Andre loved the pictures and that the bride at the wedding wanted similar photos taken of her 6-month-old baby boy.
After getting permission from the parents, Hannes posted the photos to Imgur and Reddit Sunday afternoon.
However, their antics received some criticism from people saying that the couple should have spent less time on the computer and more time with the baby. Hannes posted the following response on his Reddit feed:
“True, we didn’t teach the kid how to read that day. We also didn’t expand his brain by playing classical music nonstop. We didn’t feed him an immune system boosting meal every 15 minutes. But he survived, giggled a lot was looked after the entire time by the two of us and went to bed at 7:30 p.m. perfectly happy. And we will show him these pics in maybe 10 years or so and say: ‘Young man, we had an awesome time together that day.’ ”
