SALT LAKE CITY — A new documentary produced by the Christian advocacy group Focus on the Family, titled “Irreplaceable,” is coming to two Utah theaters for a special screening Thursday only. The film was originally only slated to be shown in select theaters across the nation on May 6. Due to overwhelming support and attendance, however, the producers have decided to do another special screening Thursday, May 15.

“Irreplaceable” is narrated by Tim Sisarich — a native of New Zealand and former executive director of Focus on the Family New Zealand. The documentary follows Sisarich as he travels the world to talk with people of various ethnic backgrounds and upbringings about the importance of traditional family values and structure and how shifting moral values and beliefs about the definition and importance of family have affected societies.

Through his interactions with this diverse array of people, and his own personal experiences and beliefs, Sisarich comes to the conclusion that the traditional family unit is "irreplaceable" to the well-being of individuals and societies at large.

The film can be seen Thursday in Utah at the following two theaters:

University Mall, 1010 S. 800 East, Orem
