Outlook
Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front that'll bring some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to northern Utah Tuesday. The best chance for light rain showers will be in the morning, then in the afternoon we'll see isolated thunderstorms bubble up. Best chances for these thunderstorms will be north of SLC with the highest probability around the UT/ID border. Overall, not my rain will reach the ground, but under a strong thunderstorm we could have brief heavy rain, small hail, and strong wind gusts. A few mountain showers may linger into the evening, but after that we'll dry out and stay sunny for the rest of the work week. Temperatures will dip tomorrow to below normal in the mid 70s, and they look to stay there Wednesday and Thursday as active, cooler air passes to our north. As we head into Friday and the weekend, highs are expected to shoot up into the upper 80s! - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 6.8.26
